Here we are Day 3, and I’ve been plugging away at C# & Unity more in the last 3 days with this internship, than I’ve done myself in the last couple years. My world has grown immensely and my imagination is in a constant state of combustion like a west coast forest fire ravaging the lands. I relate it to something so intense because, I am truly overwhelmed not by the answers I get, but more and more questions and ideas that spawn from all the answers. AND I LOVE IT!!!
Just to give you an idea of what I’ve been working on. My team and I have been learning how to create a game from scratch. We are starting with a simple 2D/3D application. Kind of a Space Invaders Knock-Off. In my own studies, I kind of went right to the type of games that I play. Open-World First Person Shooters/ Third-Person Rpg style games and in doing so, I feel like I missed a lot of basic principles that come with game development. The script knowledge and proper structure of code that makes you on par with all the rest.
It’s only been a couple days and I’m feeling extremely comfortable with Unity. So far I’ve created a simple 2D scene. Added our player and enemy. Created a method of shooting and a life system. Next I’ll be adding custom assets to the game and really make it look like the real deal. I look forward to showing you all and can’t wait to see what’s next. Just going to keep coding and be there for those who have questions! I’m feeling like for the first time in a long time I’m on the right track. I am so excited to see what the future holds for me and our team. Check in later to see how it turns out. Much love and mahalo

Its exciting to learn with u. Stay engaged.
