Day 6 & 7 = ‘My 1st Game!’

Aloha and good afternoon to all that are reading up on me 🤪 I decided to fill you in on all I’ve been working on since this weekend. And it feels like a lot but, I know I’ve only scratched the surface of what’s to come.

This weekend was very productive, especially after acquiring my new computer. I was able to breeze through the last of my 2D course content and finish my first game Ever!! Pretty amazing to think I’ve only been at this a week. I can say my past knowledge of code really did help me get through it stress free. I cant wait to take this knowledge and expand on it. I have so many ideas and really want to take this to the limit!

Looking back and laughing about it now. Really the only problem I ran into was when I was researching late one evening and was just absent minded enough to leave out a “_” symbol. I spent the next hour pulling my hair out screaming at my console knowing I did nothing wrong. I finally pushed my ego aside when I calmed down and walked through the bits of code I knew had the errors… AHAAAA!!!! There you are! A wave of euphoria came over my mind body and soul witnessing the program running flawlessly. Really giving me a good kick in the pants on making sure my syntax is identical at all times and not beating myself up over it.

Sometimes you just need to step away and take a deep breath and get back to it. other than that it was very productive weekend. I filled my off time with running through the git course because, that was something I definitely wanted to keep up on. Its an amazing tool and love how future employers or peers can take a look at what you’re working on. Now I just have to do it myself hahaha

Anyways, thanks for reading up on my journey. Im absolutely loving this internship and cant believe Ive been asked to be here! My instructors and team Rocks!!! This years been rough but, this is a dream come true. Im not gonna let anything I can learn slip by.
