Wednesday is here and its a 3,2,1 countdown to some real world shit! Having only a couple job leads and not knowing if my unemployment will continue is pretty stressful. I’m keeping my head up though and not giving up. I learned to love this stuff and will do whatever’s necessary to continue to learn with my peers and network.
It’s been an amazing experience. I had been curious about getting into the industry but, unaware how to approach and sell myself as a freelancer. What GameDevHQ did for me, I cant be more thankful for. Teaching me Unity, a skill and tool that was way too intimidating originally but, now I feel comfortable enough to teach someone the basics. Pretty BADASS!! I now have a personal website to propel a portfolio, a daily medium blog, and about 200 new contacts in the industry from around the world. The coolest thing is a good amount of them are from Hawaii. Knowing that I’m positive this is not the end and only the beginning! Our paths our bound to cross again. For now though, just collecting my thoughts and preparing a game plan for my solo run. You’ll be hearing from me for sure! Until next time, Much love and mahalo for reading up!
