Aloha all that are interested! Another beautiful day on the islands. Just documenting what I can of my journey on this Thursday. I can barely focus though. It’s getting close to the end and I seem to be getting distracted by your every day life troubles. Not only have I been relying on this program to supply my learning but, they have been paying me to do so.
In Hawaii to survive, you have to be ready to take on 2 maybe 3 jobs at a time. The pandemic has made it impossible to continue the normal routine obviously. Us locals are lucky if we can come up with 1 job at the moment. You can guess where I’m going with this. Me and my ohana are not doing so well financially.
It’s been months waiting for any assistance from the government and all my hard earned savings has been spent on rent just to get by. So, this opportunity that ACI delivered to the lucky few who got accepted, was truly a blessing. My family has been able to at least get the bills paid and for the last month and a half take a little of the stress off my mind…

I spent a good portion of my day on switching all my social media sites over to my personal e-mail, reworking my resume and putting out some applications to some employers on island. In all honesty, it’s not looking very good at the moment but, all you can do is keep working hard and not let the struggles bring you down. I’m not feeling very confident in writing about my course studies today but, I’ll try and get back into it tomorrow. Until then, much love and aloha
