Finding a new workflow

Aloha! Hope everyone had a great Halloween! I know I did! Coming off of the back-end of the pandemic, it wasn’t like your normal day of costumed debauchery. It was a plus because it gave us time to focus on our keiki (child).

Well, I’m just writing this post because I am pushing myself harder than ever now! After my surgery, I realized I never want to be in a stagnant position again. Creativity is my lifeblood and I am broadening my horizons by using all the great tools out there.

I’ve always been a person with many passions and I tend to want to dive headfirst into everything. Very spontaneously! I can say at times I may feel a bit spread thin and not sure where to start my day as a freelancer. Having the 9-5 was always my norm so, organizing and structuring my day where it’s productive and yet not overwhelming, takes some getting used to.

Habitica

I’m very young at heart I’ve been told. I like to try & keep the variables in my life positive and fun. I’m on the topic of organization for a reason. I just started using Habitica. How can I describe it to you?? It’s a work planning app that has RPG elements weaved into it. For example: Finishing my work assignment would give me currency in the game etc etc. It is strictly up to oneself to create goals and complete them on there. It won’t benefit anyone but, yourself and it is honestly not for everyone. For me though being a game developer, it’s so far doubled my efficiency and fills my daily fake bucket of accomplishments 😂 We’ll see how it goes and I’ll def report back but, so far so good.

Speaking of which, Back to It! Thanks for reading and keep coming back if you know what’s good for ya! You can find me on Twitch 9pm HST! Much love and aloha
